Expanding the Frontier
of Leadership Learning
I was on the mental meltdown. I probably would’ve quit my job long ago if I didn’t complete Michelle’s course.
It helped me a great deal. I gained more clarity over issues.
Albert E., Engineer Superintendent, Oil and Gas, Lagos, Nigeria / London, UK
Albert was stuck in a toxic work culture, with no role models to help him expand professionally. There was no leadership learning. Albert is ambitious and wanted to make himself more marketable.
Unfortunately, his organisation wasn’t providing him with the leadership development opportunities he needed.
At best, Albert felt overwhelmed and frustrated. At worst, he felt lost and almost at the point of defeat. He knew something had to change for the sake of his mental health, let alone his career.
Albert reclaimed his confidence and mental health, despite his toxic work environment. He tailored his leadership approach and developed the skills necessary to adapt quickly within his dynamic (and toxic) work environment.
This included becoming more mindful and strategic in his interactions with his leader and colleagues. It resulted in a positive shift in the quality of his relationships and his experience of work.
In the end, when we caught up with Albert after the program had ended, we learned he’d been able to leave the organisation on his own terms. And not only that, it was for a better role in an organisation with more growth opportunities.
