Executive coaching helps close your leadership talent gaps and boosts performance. It gives your important employees another reason to stay.
On a personal level, coaching helps you find your leadership edge… where you succeed on your own terms, create a great place to work and be the leader that people want to follow.
Here are three common reasons clients contact me for executive coaching:
Executive coaching for ongoing success
You’re smart and successful already. A high achiever. And you know you’d do even better with expert guidance. I’m there as your sounding board and strategic advisor, with a bespoke process to help you get on track and stay there.
This is for when you’re new to a role, your job isn’t bringing the joy anymore, or you simply want more from your work.
Leadership coaching for career progression
Sometimes the most difficult barriers to achieving your goals are internal. If you’re tired of getting in your own way, then know that you can get past this. It’s where having an experienced psychologist as your coach who’s been there too makes all the difference. I’ll help you develop the mindset, leadership skills and strategies for success.
My feedback is candid. You don’t have time to waste. But it’ll be delivered with kindness. After all, everyone has blind spots and no one is a born leader.
Improving your management style
This is for when there are complaints about your management style. I’ll show you how to put all that behind you and earn the respect of your colleagues. How? Using an evidence-based approach taught to mediators at the United Nations.
With Boss Whispering®, you’ll quickly gain insight into why there’s a perceived problem with your management style. And you’ll develop management strategies to achieve your goals without upsetting others.
It’s also possible that you’re being white anted. I hope that’s not the case. But if it is, we work that out quickly so that you keep your mental health intact and focus on what you need to do to look after both your wellbeing and career.
Executive Coaching: here’s how it works
Executive coaching is, in essence, your personal executive development program. We work together for a minimum of 6-months on your most important goals. Often for longer because it’s coaching where it counts and the changes can be profound.
We meet in person, on the phone or via video-conference. We start and finish on time so you can organise the rest of your day around our session with certainty. While we’re based in Melbourne, me and my team work with clients worldwide.
Don’t take my word for it.
Here’s what Jennifer B (not her real name) said:
I selected Michelle as a coach due to her background as both an organisational and counselling psychologist combined with her depth of experience working with CEOs, managers, business owners and artists across a range of industry sectors both in Australia and overseas. This combination of psychology and a deep experience of business coaching provided a rich and multifaceted coaching experience that traversed everything from understanding of my personal and work values through to developing strategies for managing complex challenges in the workplace, community and with a number of stakeholders.
My regular coaching sessions provided a safe space to regularly work on my personal work journey and were boosted with a range of tools, resources and reference materials, handpicked by Michelle to support whatever we were working on. The sessions were personalised, thoughtful and incredibly useful in my leadership development and role managing some significant work issues.
Having done many internal workplace leadership development processes previously, including LSI more times than I care to count, it was refreshing for me to work with a coach that tailors the coaching to the individual rather than following an out of the box formula.
My time working with Michelle is without a doubt, one of the most productive times in terms of personal growth and gaining of insights and strategies for dealing recurring challenges experienced in managing teams and working in a stressful, high pressure environment.”
